King or Queen of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) (32-40 hrs)


We are looking for a King or Queen of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to join our team at Kings Of Indigo. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining our position as a sustainable denim pioneer, defining the CSR strategy and pave the road towards a full circular production approach.As an CSR Specialist you will be the bridge between KOI management, the product team, our complete supply chain and sales/marketing. You feel strongly connected to our brand values and have a social and digital mindset.  


You:

As an CSR expert you are able to continuously develop the CSR strategy, further develop the K.O.I’s 5 pillars of sustainability, increase transparency and enhance traceability and translate this in a understandable message with our product and marketing teams.You are commercial, organized, have a helicopter view and know how to get people involved. 


Tasks include:

  • You are the project owner of the CSR strategy, implement and execute this strategy, and shared and applied, across the company.  
  • Set the goals for all 5 pillars of sustainability for the next 5 years in collaboration with design and development department. 
  • Kings Of Indigo is in the process of becoming B-corp. You are responsible to achieve this goal and create the yearly improvements of B-corp score. 
  • Social Responsibility: organize audits and training with all K.O.I producers in collaboration with our external CSR consultants. 
  • Planet Friendly Materials: collect, check and digitize certificates of all fabrics and trims KOI uses for production (GOTS, OCS, GRS, etc) 
  • Less Water use: collect, check and digitize all EIM scores (environmental impact measurement). Have all fabrics and washes Lab tested on AOX, Chlorine, Potasium permanganate, etc).  
  • CO2 footprint: collect CO2 footprint data of transport and compensate through Goodshipping. Work towards carbon positive business model.  
  • Waste Management: Developing projects within K.O.I’s triple R concept: Repair, recycle and re-use like Re-use the Blues, Responsible and Denim Deal.  
  • Retrace is making our complete supply chain transparent. As CSR specialist you collect all data of our supply chain to fill the data into the data base so a consumer can follow a product from cotton to closet. 
  • Create our yearly social report with a full overview of K.O.I's CSR achievements in that year and share targets for the future 
  • Keep up to date with the latest insights and innovations in CSR and circular production.  


Skills & experience required:

  • At least 3 years of experience in garment production and/or CSR development
  • A product or CSR related academic degree or equal education 
  • Result-driven and pro-active 
  • Analytical insight and a love for data 
  • Strong Project Management skills, ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities flexibly while maintaining a positive work attitude 
  • Exceptional capacity to work across teams and foster relationships within the organization as well as with third party partners with the ability to effectively manage timelines and coordinate internal and external teams to deliver results
  • Team player with the ability to work under own initiative and the ability to push ideas 
  • Creative, analytical, innovative and willing to contribute ideas and professional opinion

Marketing/Sales Intern

We are looking for a Marketing/Sales intern to join us at our HQ office in Amsterdam, starting in February 2022, for at least 5 months.


You will be working closely with the sales and marketing team on concepting and executing marketing activations for (key) account and marketplaces, providing top notch B2B service and helping out in the showroom. 


Tasks include:

  • Support sales with marketing activations of (key) accounts and marketplaces
  • Help out sales in the organization of the showroom
  • Support and guide agents with marketing and logistic requests
  • Help out in servicing B2B customers, ranging from complaints to organizing SoMe activations
  • Think of ways to enhance B2B operations efficiency
  • Work together with marketing to use our CRM system to the fullest
  • Support B2B customer service when needed
  • Support the team whenever necessary

Qualifications:

  • 3rd year HBO or WO student (International) Business, Marketing/Communications or related.
  • Can-do mentality, structured, eager to learn and pro active.
  • You have a creative mind but enjoy going through Excel
  • You believe in climate change 
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • You live in Amsterdam or are willing to commute

E-Commerce Intern

We are looking for an E-commerce intern to join the team from Jan/Feb 2022 for at least 5 months.


You will be working within the E-commerce, Marketing and Sales team, taking care of several kinds of daily tasks. Your main goal? Good sell-through in our online store and a great customer experience.


Tasks include:

  • Support, manage and create content (products, content pages, landing pages, etc) for our online platforms (ShopifyPlus, website, socials)
  • Involved in the online marketing strategy
  • Assisting in set up of market places 

Qualifications:

  • 3rd year HBO or WO student in Marketing, Economics, Digital Communication Media and Design or related
  • You have a can-do mentality, you think in opportunities and you are eager to learn, therefore pro-active
  • You have a creative mind but you are well organized
  • You have a healthy dose of common sense
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with ShopifyPlus is a plus
  • You believe in climate change 
  • Fluent in English (Dutch helps but is not mandatory)
  • You live in Amsterdam or are willing to commute

Marketing & Communications Intern

We are looking for a Marketing & Communications intern to join us in Jan/Feb 2022, for at least 5 months.


You will be working closely with the online and offline marketing managers on strategy, concept and execution of social media concepts, online activations and retail events. You will be responsible to ensure good sell-through online and offline (with our retailers) and to create brand awareness among our consumers.


Tasks include:

  • Help manage our SM platforms and execute activations according to content calendar 
  • Support online manager with the creation of content on various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, newsletters and website)
  • Be involved with the offline and online marketing activations for upcoming seasons, with special focus on creating the content calendar for the upcoming season 
  • Support and guide agents with their marketing requests for various collection
  • Guide agents internationally with events and fully organize the ones in the Netherlands
  • Help with organizing and executing our upcoming web and brand photoshoot
  • Enhance the sustainable mind-set amongst the consumers and think of ideas to enhance brand awareness in our European markets
  • Help with organizing the seasons Line Launch with all of our international agents
  • Organize retail events such as activations, tradeshows, pop-up shops and collaborations

Qualifications:

  • 3rd year HBO or WO student (International) Business, Marketing/Communications or related.
  • You have a can-do mentality, are eager to learn and are pro-active You have a creative mind but also analytical and well organized
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign 
  • Have good command of the English language (Dutch helps but is not mandatory)
  • You live in Amsterdam or are willing to commute
  • Having a driver’s license is a plus

CSR & Sustainability Intern

 We are looking for a CSR & Sustainability Intern to join the team from January 2022 for at least 5 months.

What can you expect?

You will be a part of the product team and work closely with CSR manager, you are supporting all daily operations related to the Five Pillars of Sustainability: Waste, Water, Responsible Production, Sustainable Materials, CO2. It is expected from the intern that she/he can work independently after a short period of time, becoming a full member of the CSR team.

 

Tasks include:

  • Checking and chasing e-mails
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Conduct desk and field research
  • Participate in meetings
  • Collecting fabric certificates
  • Collect data on Retraced platform
  • Support on sustainability goals and actions

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3rd/4th year sustainable development,

business or fashion management related education

  • Hands-on and pro-active
  • A critical, sharp eye and eager to learn
  • Knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft Office, Illustrator and/or InDesign
  • Knowledge of Dutch and English languages
